Citing the ruler as a ‘dihqān’ within a central dotted circle, ‘dihqān al-jalīl’ (‘The glorious lord’ in Arabic); around, ‘lā ilāha illā - Allāh waḥdahū - lā sharīka lahū’ (‘There is no deity but Allah, the One, there is no partner to Him’ in Arabic); in the margin, ‘bism Allāh ḍuriba hādhā al-fals bi Ilāq sana thamān wa thamānīn wa thalātha miʾa’ (‘In the name of Allah. This fals was struck in Ilaq in the year 388’ in Arabic). Rev. Citing Tegin Aba Salih (= Nasr ibn ʿAli, AH 383-403 / AD 993-1012) in the field, and Ahmad ibn Ali (AH 384-407 / AD 994-1016) in the margin, ‘li-llāh / Muḥammad / rasūl Allāh / Tikīn / Abā Ṣāliḥ’ (‘To Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. Tegin Aba Salih’ in Arabic); in the margin, ‘mimmā amara bihī al-amīr al-jalīl Aḥmad ibn ʿAlī ayyadahū Allāh’ (‘From that ordered by the glorious Amir, Ahmad son of Ali.
